Professional Involvement
While completing her doctoral degree, Adrienne assisted with research that compared manual
techniques and their effect on the supine straight leg raise in young adults. Prior to obtaining
her doctorate, Adrienne also participated in research that demonstrated the effectiveness of
significant weight loss and the ability to delay or eliminate the need for a total knee
replacement.
Experience
Adrienne believes she is lucky enough to have found three professional passions so far in life.
Prior to obtaining her doctorate in physically therapy she worked as a professional dancer in
NYC and owner of MPowered helping individuals live healthier lifestyles through personal
training, nutritional consultations, and group fitness. Adrienne has had the opportunity to work
with individuals of all ages ranging from infants to those in their 90s. She has also had the
privilege of working with individuals from various backgrounds such as dancers, professional
athletes from the Detroit Lions and Detroit Pistons, and those with neurological disorders such
as Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s Disease. Throughout her doctorate program she
completed multiple clinical rotations in both inpatient and outpatient settings allowing her to
treat patients of all ages and diagnoses. Adrienne has a passion for determining the source of
each patient’s pathology and treating them specifically and holistically in order to help them
move better and feel better. Adrienne has always had a love for learning and will continue her
education through Oakland University’s Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (OMPT) advanced
graduate certificate.
